Teaching toddlers is a challenge for they love to test the world around them - the physical environment as well as the adults caring for them. The teachers in the Playful Puppies Room are fully present and connected with the children when they feel dependent, yet allow the children to move away and explore on their own when they are ready to be independent.
By providing appropriate learning experiences for toddlers that they will find truly enjoyable, our goal at the end of the activity is to hear the children say wholeheartedly, “Again!” Our objective is to provide learning in all six domains: physical health development, emotional development, social development, motor development, language-communication development and cognitive development.

PLAYFUL PUPPIES CLASSROOM
TEACHER: Miss Palma
I have been at NPCDC since 1994, with 25 total years spent in the childcare field. My favorite thing about working with children is that they are honest, happy, innocent and lovable. I am married with a daughter in college. In my spare time, I like to read, travel and walk the dog.
TEACHER: Miss Donna
I have been at NPCDC since 2006. The best part about working with the children is the wonderful feeling I get watching the children; they are like my extended family. I am married and have a son and a daughter. In my spare time I like to garden, read and decorate the house.
TEACHER: Miss Bekah
I have been at NPCDC since 2017, but have been in the childcare field a year. The best part about working with the children is teaching them new things, making them laugh, hearing their stories and playing with them. My family consists of my parents, 5 siblings and my cat Kapito. I enjoy photography, painting and playing the ukelele.
