- SCHOOL-AGERS PROGRAM -

schoolagers indoor rooom schoolagers playground

The program summary for our after school care includes snack, homework time and free play. We know that the children need to blow off steam when they get off the bus, so on good weather days the children can go out on the playground, play a game of dodge ball in the field or just enjoy being outdoors. If we need to be inside the school agers have multiple things to choose from: drawing, beads, bracelets, legos, puzzles, board games and much more. Also, during the holiday times, the children put on plays, writing the script and directing the activity. Since the daycare is associated with the church, we also have a religious aspect. Once a week the school agers will read a book or watch a video about a Bible passage and discuss what was watched or read.

During the summer we run an all day summer camp for our school agers. We go on lots of field trips to places like the Cleveland Zoo, the Great Lakes Science Center, Fun-N-Stuff, and Roseland Lanes to name a few. We also make weekly trips to the library to participate in their summer program and even make a side trip to Rosati’s for a cool treat. We do water play once a week as well as lots of science experiments.
